North Attleborough

WWI Memorial Park & Zoo

Date visited: 1/13/2024

This is much more than a typical town park. This one also features a small zoo! There are also picnic areas and playgrounds, a scenic overlook and a series of hiking trails. Due to the torrential rains earlier in the morning, we had to stick to the paved sections since the trails were all flooded. Parts of the park itself were flooded as well, but there was still plenty of areas where we could walk. The zoo had deer, goats, sheep, etc. All typical zoo animals, and nothing too exotic. Dogs must be kept 30 feet from the cages, but are otherwise allowed throughout the park. This is nice spot to bring your family.

Bragg & MacDonald Memorial Town Forest

Date visited: 3/13/2026

This is a nice forest filled with tall pine trees. We hiked an easy one and a half mile loop trail. There were a few icy spots on the trail, but nothing major. The property also hosts a dog park we visited after our hike.
