We hiked a 1+ loop trail around Pelton Pond. We started near the shelter by the parking area. The first part of the loop was an easy hike, but the other side of the loop on the far side of the pond was more challenging. The terrain on that side of the pond is rocky and rooty, but we handled it okay. There was no real access to the water for the dogs to cool off, but they were able to get a quick dip at a different section of the park just before this hike.
